My Reflection

Of course PSLE is what will everyone feel - scared. It is very normal. I already feel very stress. First I study and study but what I studied is often not in what they came out in exams. I always felt that I study for nothing. I rather don't study. But I now feel that actually studying is quite good. They might come out a similar question but come out in an exactly a different one.

I also feel stress because my cousins' marks are very high. Among all of my cousins, the lowest is about 222! What if I am lower than them. It will be very embarrassing! Especially all my cousins are older than I am! But i will work very hard to beat most of my cousins.

After PSLE, Wei Ying and I will be going to each other's house to play, write our stories and make food! So eager. We are also going to library! How I wish is now! We wanted to invite Ruo Fan but she had gone to China already. Too bad! How I wish she could! But I am still very eager!

Flash Floods in Singapore again!!!

A torrential downpour in the early hours of Saturday morning triggered flash floods in Braddell Road, Joo Chiat Terrace, Changi Road, Opera Estate, Bukit Timah and Delfi in Orchard Road with water rising to waist level. . It is the third time in recent months that heavy rain caused havoc to motorists and resulted in severe flooding. Residents staying in Opera Estate awoke to screams from neighbours alerting them that flood waters were gushing into their homes, even as trash bins, buckets and shoes went floating down the road. Some places were like swimming pool!

Late last month, PM Lee warned Singaporeans that they cannot expect the island republic to be completely free of floods. “I don’t think it is possible in Singapore to expect the place to be completely free of floods,” he said, as torrential downpours are a part of the climate for “an island in the tropics”.

Reflection: It must difficult and painstaking for the people there or trapped in the floods. I hope there would not a fourth strike. Definetely not near where I stay , I do not know what to do...

New group and old group

Well, I think I had lots of fun with my old group (Group E) and think is a good idea to group with others that you had not group with before. You can see how people that are better in a language/topic and we can learn from them.

I think Mdm Yeo is very fair to all of us that leaders could 'rest' while others will be appointed as a leader to continue the job. Phew! Now I do not need to rush to collect the papers.

I just hope we don't have a big quarrel in our group and has very good teamwork. Hope so!

~Target & Achievement~

If I get every subjects A, I will be over the moon! Of course I must aim a A* is better, but I don't really think that I am so clever or hardworking enough to aim that high... But if I got an A*, I think my mouth will not be able to close. Haha!

So I think I got to study like mad till PSLE... NO! till the end of my life!!! SIGH! I always doesn't have enough sleep coz got so much homework in school, tuition, plus my father's assignments.

So I need to organize my timetable so as to have everything to be done perfectly.

Sigh!

~Character Development~

Well, I am a very happy, can laugh non-stop girl as some of you know. But I can get panic-stricken easily when I can't finish doing something very important or I loses something. Right?

I love chit-chatting, as girls/females do. I wonder why? Anyway, I love talking to Wei Ying when I have something in my mind and everything! I don't know why. Since last year Mdm Yeo put us as a group together, I like talking everything under the sun with her. From my opinion, I think she is quite a nice girl. Well I had another friend in 6 Challenge, Ming Yue. I became friends in Primary 4 although we are in the same class in Primary 3. I like talking her as when I ask her something that I am not sure about, she can tell me lots of ideas. When Primary 5 our talking period was lesser as we were in different form class except M.T and Maths. But this year it was worst. I am only with the same class as her in M.T! But we are still friends and I really like the present she gave me on my birthday. So I am going to repay her when the end of year. (I will give my friends a present!)

I hope I will calm down when facing difficulties and hope I can with with friends that are my friends this year forever!

~Academic Work~

Hi everybody, everyone, anybody, anyone, somebody, someone and nobody! Its me here!!!!

Well, I got back some of my marks. Boo hoo hoo! Why it is not up to my expectation!

Wait for a moment, I want to cry my tears out!

Ok, as I said I am not very satisfied with my marks! Especially my Chinese compositions( both M.T & H.MT), I don't know how to use Creative Words and my sentence structure is always very awkward! I think my English composition is better ( little) than Chinese. My Science also (sigh) bad! I got a B! I wonder why when I was younger, I am cleverer. I usually top the class but now I am stuck at the bottom and my parents always nag at me and saying like people can get high marks, why you can't? My oral too... When I was younger I was more fluent and expressiveness and my kindergarden teacher even chose me to speak in front of everybody on the Graduation day and I was leader for my group too! Why? Well I need to back up now so my every component can be very perfectly excellent!

By the way, I haven't tell my parents about my marks. Oppsy! Shh, those who know my marks please don't tell them, though I know when they go for my Meet-The-Parents-Session...

My Weekly Journal [Term 1 Week 10]

Hi everybody! Lookin' forward for the holidays? I am goin' to have a very very very busy week!

Firstly, I want to Thank 6 Courage and Mdm Yeo (too) to share with me our wonderful times.(The speaker's corner...)

Group E { Li Jun, Nishanth, Eik Chong} , I like laughing with you all during funny times but you Nishanth and Eik Chong give me hard times when you don't hand in your work!!! (Doin' group board,group work, group projects...)

I also want to thank Wei Ying, Jia Qi and Li Jun for spending time with me during recess or class[ though not suppose too] to laugh,play and chit-chat with me.

Well, I just WANT to Thank all of my 6 Courage classmates to spending so much FUN with me!!! =}

My Weekly Journal

Hi, Happy Chinese New Year to ALL of You! I'm going to my Grandma's house later to have renuion dinner later! This week goes like this:

Monday: Nothing much happen

Tuesday: Had rehearsal for Chinese New Year Concert till 4.15 then go tuition at 6.30 till 8.30. I came back and did my difficult maths homework until 12 a.m then I zzzz.

Wednesday: Our group didn't got a chance to rehearse our skit. =(

Thursday: Ahhhhhhhhhh! Mdm Yeo and My chinese teacher, Mdm Lee, didn't come. Lessons are sooo booring. =( Assembly is about Total Defence ( social defence ).

Friday: Yo! Got chocolate coins! =) But still receive homework . =-(

I am going to Malaysia tomorrow( my relatives too) going to my maternal grandparent's house.

My Weekly Journal

Today is another busy week. Piles and piles of homeworks ! This week nothing really special happened :

Monday: Very busy. After school got structured programme till 3 o clock then got CCA from 5.30 to 7.30.

Tuesday: I met Mdm Yeo on my way to tution!

Wednesday:Mdm Yeo told us more about the Speaker's Corner. Our topic is Civil Defence and our props is half mask and the Magic Wand.

Thursday: We had a chinese storytelling told by Jia Xin from P5. Its about who likes drawing but doesn't have a paint brush. One day a god( I think) gave him a magical paintbrush which will turn real when drawn with it. The emperor soon heard of it and told the boy to draw a sea and a ship. Then he drew big big waves which wash the ship with the emperor away. Wei An from P5 translated the story for the non-chinese. We also had an assembly on total defence.

Today is a long long day for me. After school, I had my HMT structured programme to 3.30. The I had Chinese New Year Concert Rehearsal from 3.30 to 4.30. The 5.30 to 7.30 is ny CCA. So tiring day. My chances to finishing my homework is little though I finished it.

Friday:Science Experiments are fun but sometimes disaster! We are droping the bottle full of water when... splat! The flour make the area full of flour! Our punishment: Got to clean up and minus points !

My Weekly Journal

Ai, another busy week. I AM TIRED!!!!

Well let me reflect on this week:

• Monday- Mdm Lim spoke to us about 4 things:

1.Why English is our main subject?

-English communicates with people all around the world. Eg. If you go to a country which you do not know how to communicate their language, you can speak in english.

2. Road safety

-Use overhead bridge, traffic crossing and pedestrain crossing. Raise up your right hand when crossing the pedestrain crossing or traffic crossing.

3.Why storytelling?

-To help your oral skills. It also help to build up your courage. IYou must be confident enough to be a storyteller. Me? I wouldn't dare to. I quite admire those pupils who go up stage to tell a story.

• Tuesday- Why do we have to read the reading materials every morning?

The reading passages we read are sometimes fiction and non-fiction. Most of the time the fiction stories have questions for us to reflect on. We can also something new from those reading materials.

That day's reading is about a doctor lend a ear to a patient whom both them never met before. My reflection:Sometimes it is better to say out your disturbed feelings than keeping to yourself.

• Wednesday-Nothing mucH

• Thursday- Assembly, Mrs Dhillon told us the meaning of 1 of our school core values: Responsiblity in words and deeds. Then, science centre presents us the 'looney balloony show'. Well, I must admit that it is quite an excellent show.

• Friday- Yo! End of week. Quite alot of things for the weekend. Got our 1st structured for EMS(Eng,Math,Sci).

Graciousness in Conduct

- Graciousness is being kind, polite and generous to others.

- If everyone do not practice graciousness, the whole world will be so rude and everyone will be talking at the same time, not knowing who to listen to.

- Some ways of gracious acts are : giving up seats on MRT, holding doors for people walking in , cleaning up the tables after meals , giving way to other cars, paying attention to one speaking and saying THANK YOU

Responsibilty in Words and Deeds

We must be responsibe towards our family, society and the most important thing is ourselves. At home, we can help our parents to keep our flat clean. At public, we can be rensponsibe by not throwing litters on the floor, but into the bin. We must start from being responsibe from ourselves.Like being punctual in going to school and hand in our work to teachers. We can also be responsibe by not hurting others by saying vulgarity and breaking promises to others.

My Weekly Journal

Well, this week quite busy because every day, teachers gave us quite a sum of homeworks plus my tution and home assignments.

• Monday- For Art, Mdm Yeo taught us how to draw things that we like/symbolies together. I think that is quite interesting.
• Tuesday- For Phyiscal Educaion, we played against another class `1 leg hop to 2 legs' Not very fun, I thought, as we played this game for the entire half an hour.
• Wednesday- Mdm Yeo let us find pictures on the computer to put up on the board. My group are doing the Asthetics board.I found quite a lot of pictures.
• Thursday- My chinese teacher did not come today.That day's Assembly is about the prefect's ivestiture. They talk about the roles of a prefect and they also took the prefect's pledge. We also had our height and weight that day.
• Friday- During Health Education, Mdm Sabiah told us about what will happen for the boys and girls during pruberty. After school, my group(except Nishanth)all stayed back to decorate our board.

My Weekly Journal

Hi! My name is Goh Xin Yi. School is still normal but I had many new classmates.I like all my subject teachers that have been teching us this week.

• Monday: We got to introduce ourselves (my familyand my hobbies) in front of my class. I was kind of shy as I do not know how to speak up.But of course, I finally did.
• Tuesday: We had our P.E and Mr Tan teach us how to play hop on 1 leg game. 1 team who is hopping on 1 leg will get to catch the team that is on 2 legs team.We also had our music and we learn to sing the national anthem.
• Wednesday:That day Mdm Yeo taught how to create a blog. It was kind of fun as we create post or pictures on this platform.
• Thursday:We had assembly that day and Mdm Lim told us certain things that we need to behave in school or public.Well, I have say this that I felt bored sitting in th hall listening to Mdm Lim talking. We also learn some words in the National Anthem that is usually said wrongly.
• Friday:Ah! Last day of school in the week.I like this day as we can rest in the weekend.That day is quite normal as every other day. We had our H.E and Mdm Sabiah is teaching us. She is kind of funny.
